Lucas Manfield is an award-winning investigative reporter whose work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, ProPublica and other national outlets. He began his career as a software developer in Silicon Valley before becoming a local reporter, covering crime, health care and business for newsrooms in Texas, West Virginia and Oregon. He is now based in Brooklyn.
